Plečnik turned a daily ritual into a meditative path. His Market is an endless stone colonnade spread from the Triple Bridge up to the Dragon Bridge.
He designed the Market within a major city planning: the Ljubljanica river- shaping her banks and bridges. The project started in 1931 and continued till 1939, when building of the Market and the Watergates began.
