Church of St Michael in the Marches is marked by:
- the new form of the church = transverse ground plan of the nave
- static distinction = due to weak marshy ground the church stands on aprox. 350 eight meter piles
- innovative use of »ready-mades« = because of demands to cut down expenses, Plečnik used canalization pipes for pillars and stair balustrade. In interior design, he used coffee mils and various colour glasses in designing the church lamps.
